About Elle
With more than 18 years of experience in financial services, my career has been built around helping people better understand their finances and make informed decisions about their future.
My background spans financial planning, financial education and mortgage and finance broking. I hold a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, Diploma of Stockbroking and Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management, and successfully completed the Financial Adviser Exam during my career in financial planning.
In 2017, I was honoured to be named Women in Finance Financial Adviser of the Year, with further finalist recognition in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
After selling my financial planning business and stepping away to focus on my young family, I knew I still wanted to use my experience to help people in a way that felt practical, approachable and genuinely useful.
That became First Steps Financial — bringing together financial education and lending support to help people understand where they are, where they want to go, and feel confident taking their next step.
I've always believed financial knowledge should feel accessible. Money can be complicated enough without making the conversation around it complicated too.
Today, I work with individuals and families through financial education to build knowledge and confidence around money, and through mortgage broking to help clients navigate home, investment, asset and business lending with clear guidance and support.
Alongside my client work, I tutor future financial professionals through Kaplan Professional, supporting students as they build their technical knowledge and prepare for careers in financial services.
For me, First Steps is about making finance feel less overwhelming and helping people feel informed, supported and confident about whatever their next step might be.
“Knowledge is the stepping stone to confidence, and confidence is the pathway to freedom.”
